They enjoyed visiting and celebrating with friends and neighbors through music, food and games. They lived on the farm until November of 1987 when they moved to Glasgow.
Bernice was born on June 28, 1927 in Marion, ND to Erma and Bennie Lohman as the oldest of 3 girls. Bernard was diagnosed with cancer; Bernice and the boys took care of the cows, chickens and farming. They enjoyed time with their family, playing cards and traveling the country together. Bernice belonged to the Valley County Cow Bells, VFW Auxiliary, Friends of the Pioneer Museum and the First Lutheran Church. Bernice was loyal to all those around her and enjoyed people, serving coffee or tea and cookies for anyone who came to visit.

She was preceded in death by her parents Erma and Bennie; stepfather, James Murphy; three husbands, Hank, Bernard and Duane; and sister, Betty Ohs.
