Here is an example of Christopher Pike's better works.

I must have read this book around 8 or 10 years ago, but parts of it still stick in my head.

I remember it being so unique and there being a lot of what I loved about Christopher Pike's writing and story-telling.

Darker and more poorly written than any other Pike book I've read (and there have been some doozies).

A teenage serial killer's horrific crimes parallel the totally devastating break-up of his lab partner, Shelia.

Dusty Shame was a high school senior, and a serial killer.

Already he has murdered three young women, and he has more planned. There was something inside him, or perhaps outside him, that compelled him to kill.I lost the book and have been searching for it for the last decade.I couldn't remember the title, only what it was about, and no one seemed to know what book it was. It's your typical young adult supernatural thriller along the lines of Goosebumps. I couldn't remember the title, only what it was about, and no one seemed to know what book it was.Recently I found it and I, once again, devoured it. I found the three of them caught my attention and held onto it. The backstory given by Gossick, which I won't go into here because of spoilers, was very well done and even knowing the story already I couldn't stop reading to find out what happened next. But for a novel about a teenage serial killer, this story goes much deeper than those unfamiliar with Pike would expect.
